Farewell Dr. Ben

Well, I've been off to a busy start this year. It's almost March already! I loved doing this cake as I've been wanting to do one of these sorts of cakes for a while, so was thrilled when Veronika placed an order for another 'doctor' cake.  Sadly though it was for her very favourite doctor who was relocating north.  Veronika is one of my 'frequent flyers' and I've loved every cake she's ordered.   I'm playing with an ANZAC cake for her husband's battalion, so watch this space!

Is There A Doctor In The House.

This was fun cake to make.  A lovely lady contacted me to make a cake for a young doctor at the Mater A&E.  The young lady was from England and away from her family on her birthday. Veronika order the cake to help make the day special for her.

The cake was 10"x10" double decker Signature Chocolate cake with buttercream.

Cupcake With That Chia Tea Anyone

Thank-you to Jacquie & Sue from Brighton State School for giving me the opportunity to provide you with 100 cupcakes for your Chia Tea Stall. It's hard to go past my Signature Chocolate Cupcakes which were the pink rose piped cupcakes with fondant leaves. Though the Vanilla is a close second. I wouldn't leave out our Gluten free friends either on the bottom photo with a small butterfly.
I also made the ladies a completely, totally yummy Triple Lemon Cake. This cake is made with a beautiful lemon cake, lemon's straight from the tree, which is then layered with both freshly made lemon curd and lemon buttercream. OH MY GOSH its good! I'm not one for eating the left over anything, but we had some leftover lemon buttercream. Another OH MY GOSH!! That was sooo good!!
So once again thank-you ladies.

Queensland Police PSBA Goes Virtual.

Yesterday saw the launch of the Queensland Police Public Safety Business Agency  Virtual Library.
The library department didn't have their new logo as yet, so I had to put my photoshop skills to the test and change it from this to that.

The other first for me was the use of edible images.  This has been on my radar for some time and was really happy with the results.  Mardi over at Sugarbug Edible Images did an amazing job with reproducing the logo for the cake. Mardi's cookies are beautiful.

Branded cupcakes or cake are a fantastic way to celebrate your companies success, launch or a standout events.  As with all my products, I bake fresh from scratch and can accommodate orders from a few as a dozen to whatever your company requires.

The Very Hungry Caterpillar Party

This weekend we celebrated the twins first birthday.  It was such a fun day to celebrate not only the twins first birthday but to celebrate the fact that their Mum & Dad survived.  Might I add that not only did they survive but they thrived.

While we tucked into all the very yummy treats, Miss Ava couldn't wait to get her hands on her very own very own organic whole wheat carrot cake.  Connor on the other hand was a little more apprehensive about the whole cake idea.
